Q. What does 18K and 21K mean?
A. Karat (or Carat) is a measurement of fineness (purity) equal to 1/24 pure gold in an alloy. Pure or fine gold is 24 karat. 18 karat gold means 18 parts of 24 are pure gold, mixed with 6 parts of other metals. Similarly, 21 karat gold means 21 parts of 24 are pure gold, mixed with 3 parts of other metals mainly copper and silver.
Q. What is 18K White Gold?
A. Gold in its purest state, 24 karat, is often considered too soft for use in jewellery. Gold is mixed or ALLOYED with one or more other metals to produce optimum strength and colour characteristics. The colour of the gold changes to WHITE due to presence of some elements like Nickel or Palladium, Zinc and Copper. White gold is often Rhodium plated to achieve a good shiny finish.
Q. What does 925 mean?
A. Silver in its purest state, 999.99, is often considered too soft for use in jewellery. Silver is mixed with copper to produce strength. 925 means 925 parts of 999.99 are pure silver and rest 75 parts of copper.
Q. What does Gold Plated jewellery mean? Does it contain real gold?
A. Our personalised Gold Plated items are made of Brass as the base metal and are gold plated with 22K Gold solution. The Gold Plated items are coated with a very thin layer of real gold solution but it differs from pure gold filled jewellery. Real Gold CANNOT be recovered from Gold Plated jewellery.
Q. Does the Gold Plated jewellery fade or tarnish?
A. Gold Plating is temporary and will fade or tarnish if not worn with care. It fades or tarnishes due to various reasons with time and its use. Like all material that is not real gold will eventually fade or tarnish and there is no time limit after how long it will fade or tarnish as it depends upon each individual person and locality. The rate at which it fade or tarnish will vary depending on your body chemistry, how acidic or basic it is and how much you sweat or how humid the weather is in your locality, etc.
Q. What care should we take to wear Gold Plated or Silver jewellery for a long time?
A. Note down the following tips in order to maintain its shine or prevent from tarnish and to wear Gold Plated and Silver jewellery for a long time:

1. Do not wear whilst swimming, bathing or in highly humid areas.

2. Do not spray perfume or chemicals directly on it. Spray perfume or body spray before wearing jewellery. Also keep it away from sweat.

3. Polish it using a recommended jewellery polishing solution or cloth.

4. When not in use hang it up or store in a separate jewellery bag or box so that it won't rub off by itself or with other materials and to prevent contact with air and humidity.

5. Use dry, soft cotton cloth to wipe it gently before or after wearing.
Q. How long does it take to receive an order?
A. The total time from the date of order to receipt by customer nearly takes 3 to 4 weeks. An order is normally completed within 5-6 days and is despatched after confirmation of the order. If the shipping method selected is via Airmail, it takes 15-20 days for delivery and via EMS Express it takes 7-10 days.
